Neuroradiology Fellowship

The neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is an ACGME approved, one-year program based at University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), the only academic medical center in the state. Fellows also rotate at Children’s Hospital Colorado on the same campus, where they may opt to complete a second year in dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiology , and at Denver Health Medical Center.

The fellowship accepts physicians who have successfully completed radiology residency and are American Board of Radiology certified or eligible. A total of 5 positions are currently available each academic year.

The goal of the CU neuroradiology training program is to provide fellows with a balanced, comprehensive education spanning all content areas, including brain, spine, head/neck, and pediatric imaging. We offer a range of advanced imaging modalities including functional MRI, CT/MR perfusion, and MR spectroscopy. Our fellows are also trained in minimally invasive spine procedures and CSF leak diagnosis and treatment. Fellows have dedicated exposure to vascular neuroradiology, including rotations on the UCH stroke neurology and endovascular neurosurgery services. Thirteen full-time adult and pediatric faculty share in the training. An active program in neuroscience research is ongoing. Weekly multidisciplinary conferences highlight clinical interactions and exposure to the leading experts in the field. The fellowship trains radiologists to become independent, competent contributors to the investigation of neurologic disease.
