Welcome to Internal Medicine

I want to extend a warm welcome to the Saint Agnes Internal Medicine Residency Program. We appreciate your interest and are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our program.

As we celebrate our sixth year of training outstanding residents, we are proud of our alumni who have gone on to successful careers in academia, subspecialties, and ambulatory medicine. Our program aims to provide quality, compassionate care and a solid commitment to diversity, integrity, and excellence by educating and supporting current and future residents.

Our graduate medical education is growing alongside our reputation in beautiful Central California. We are committed to actively engaging with diversity in our program, facilities, and the communities we serve. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds, especially marginalized groups, to apply to our residency program. We aim to identify and eliminate inequities and injustices plaguing women, people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, and religious minorities.

Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that provides diverse exposure to various health conditions. Our residents learn to provide excellent patient care under the supervision of faculty members who not only instruct but serve as role models of kindness, compassion, professionalism, and scholarship.

We prioritize our residents' well-being and strive to enhance the meaning each resident finds in the experience of being a physician. We provide protected time with patients, minimize non-physician obligations, provide administrative support, and promote progressive autonomy.
