Welcome Message from the Program Director

Loyola Medicine's and Edward Hines Jr., VA's Geriatric Medicine Fellowship program is an ACGME-accredited one-year clinical program. Since its inception in 1988, the program has offered a diverse curriculum and a robust didactic schedule.

Situated just outside of the city of Chicago's border, the fellowship has the best of both worlds. Our fellows can benefit from all that a major city has to offer; whether they live downtown or closer to the medical center, they have an easy commute and plenty of free parking at the VA!

Graduates find themselves well-prepared for positions in academic medicine, private practice, hospitalist medicine and other fellowships. Regardless of what you choose to do after graduation from our fellowship, you will find yourself better prepared and a more competitive candidate!
