ACSCC24 Wangensteen Scientific Forum Dedicated to Dr. Hawn

Dr. Mary Hawn has been selected as the Dedicatee of the Owen H. Wangensteen Scientific Forum at 2024 ACS Clinical Congress. The forum will take place Saturday, October 19 through Tuesday, October 22 in San Francisco.

LPCH Surgeon is Named 2024 Presidential Leadership Scholar

Stephanie Chao, MD, pediatric surgeon and trauma medical director at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and associate professor of Surgery, Division of Pediatric General Surgery at Stanford Medicine, has been named one of the 2024 Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS).

Carla Pugh appointed Joint Commission’s first presidential fellow

The Joint Commission, which accredits more than 22,000 health care organizations, awarded surgeon Carla Pugh the inaugural fellowship, during which she plans to develop a technology-driven process to support the organization’s work.
