Cardiology Fellowship

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. In July 2019, our program received accreditation from the ACGME to start training three fellows a year.

SIU has a rich tradition of academic excellence and innovation, which we have continued in the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. We have excellent faculty with diverse backgrounds who are dedicated to providing comprehensive training in evidence-based cardiac care. Our goal is to provide a training experience that keeps your interests in mind. Our fellows rotate in all cardiology subspecialties at Memorial Medical Center and the SIU Outpatient Clinics in Springfield. In the spirit of the mission of SIU, the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship aims to enhance the health care of the people of central and southern Illinois through education, service and scholarship. We are very excited to be a part of your medical journey. We welcome formal applications to our program through ERAS.
