Anesthesiology Residency Program

The Goal of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Anesthesiology Residency Program is to facilitate learners during four years residency to cultivate their clinical and technical skills to the highest capability to be able to practice anesthesiology as outlined by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).

We accomplish this by providing an environment that promotes the acquisition of clinical knowledge, procedural skills, clinical judgment, and attitudes essential to the practice of anesthesiology. We provide an in-depth didactic program, a wide variety of online learning opportunities, simulation based learning, excellent clinical experiences and mentorship.

We encourage and foster an environment for our residents to work effectively as members of an interprofessional healthcare team and provide an environment that is conducive to accomplish this aim.
